Maybrick has carried out special adaptations for elderly and disabled people to provide independent living. This includes wheelchair access ramps, level-access showers, automated sanitary facilities, kitchen adaptations and extensions to provide ground floor accommodations and facilities.
Pitchford (featured) is a small residential property which had an old extension containing a small kitchenette. It had no bathroom and external sanitation. Occupied by elderly people, the facilities at the property were not of an acceptable standard.
Maybrick provided temporary kitchen and sanitary facilities for the occupants whilst taking down the old extension and building a new kitchen and bathroom with new drainage, plumbing and electrical installation. The shower cubicle was fitted with seat and grab rails to provide independence of use. Extra light was provided to the bathroom via a sun-pipe.
